What mcp-remote does
A command-line client for connecting to remote MCP servers with OAuth authentication and support for multiple transport protocols including SSE and HTTP.
Why teams reach for it: It lets an MCP client that only speaks local stdio talk to a remote MCP server, carrying the OAuth authorization flow those clients do not yet implement, and is meant to be dropped once the client supports remote authorized servers itself.

Fields the vendor doesn't document are left blank here rather than guessed — a blank means nothing verified, not a "no."

How will you inspect behavior and fix failures?
Inspectors & debugging tools let developers see what's happening inside an MCP connection and fix problems when something breaks.
