What mcp-validator does
Testing suite and reference implementation for validating MCP server implementations against the protocol specification.
Why teams reach for it: It answers whether a server actually conforms to a named MCP revision - 2024-11-05, 2025-03-26 or 2025-06-18 - over STDIO or HTTP, checking the specification's MUST, SHOULD and MAY requirements and generating a compliance report, and it ships GitHub Actions templates so that check runs on every pull request rather than by hand.
