What AgentCat does
AgentCat is an analytics and observability service for MCP servers: you add its SDK to your server and it records each agent session, every tool call with its request, response and error, and a goal inferred for the session. SDKs are published for TypeScript/JavaScript, Python and Go, the service runs in AgentCat's cloud or on your own infrastructure, and it can forward the enriched data to Datadog, Sentry or PostHog over OpenTelemetry.
Why teams reach for it: Reach for it when you need the agent's side of an MCP session rather than server metrics: it captures why a tool was called and not only that it was, groups sessions into goals, and forwards the enriched data on to Datadog, Sentry or PostHog instead of replacing them.

How will you trace quality and operations?
Observability & evaluation tools track how well an MCP server is performing and help catch issues once it's live.
